This All-Inclusive Resort is Expanding Included Dining: OFF-Resort Restaurants
About Caribbean
It’s the best of both worlds. Part of the appeal of luxury, all-inclusive resorts is the array of dining options on the property where you can enjoy effortless, delightful dining you’ve already paid for.
But what about getting a taste of the local restaurant scene on the rest of the island? And how about supporting other local businesses?
Sandals Resorts has come up with the perfect answer in its immersive, “Island Inclusive” dining program that now invites couples at two of its all-inclusive luxury resorts to savor local flavors around two islands.
The program debuted in 2022 with the opening of Sandals Royal Curacao. Now, it’s expanded to Nassau for select guests at Sandals Royal Bahamian, giving them access to some of Nassau’s top dining experiences – still included with your booking.
And it celebrates local chefs and supports locally-owned restaurants, sharing the love around the community.
In Nassau, Island Inclusive introduces Sandals guests to the bold flavors and culinary traditions of one of The Bahamas’ favorite islands through its selection of curated island restaurants – from a craft cocktail bar offering unique spirits in an upscale setting to a cozy café serving French and Mediterranean delights.
How does it work? Guests staying seven nights or more in certain room categories at Sandals Royal Bahamian are provided with a voucher and round-trip, off-site transportation to participating local venues, including:
Bon Vivants – The term 'Bon Vivant' in French refers to those who wholeheartedly embrace a lavish lifestyle. This craft cocktail bar offers unique spirits in an upscale, island-inspired setting and is the first venue in The Bahamas dedicated to the art and history of the craft cocktail.
Cocoplum– French chef Cecile Cathelin celebrates the fusion of French and Mediterranean cuisine with an island twist. At Cocoplum, guests dine on creative dishes crafted with local island produce (pictured.)
Island Brothers – A cozy café and restaurant serving French and Mediterranean menu items, Island Brothers utilizes both Bahamian and European products in their dishes. The venue features indoor and outdoor seating, located just steps away from the exclusive Lyford Cay gated community.
Sapodilla Estate – Once a private home, Sapodilla provides an intimate culinary experience tucked away in a lush garden setting with live music and a fine dining menu. Menu staples include creamy Long Island corn chowder, lobster and shrimp linguine and chocolate molten cake.
The Caribbean all-inclusive first program is a win for everyone. It fills one of all-inclusive resort guests’ biggest wishes: more interaction with locals and a taste of the local social scene. And helps ensure visitors are benefiting the wider community.
The company says the Island Inclusive program, now on two islands, is being expanded to more islands with Sandals resorts soon.
